Opinions can mean a lot to a blog or website owner. It is not always easy to find a good way to gather opinions of an audience. iVoted provides users with another simple solution to learn more about what their audience is thinking. Users can create a poll using iVoted. After posting the poll, they can receive responses through email, Twitter, SMS, email and other options so those who respond can find a way that is convenient for them (and encourages more responses). The user can review stats based on responses on iVoted, which compiles them into easy to read diagrams. The application is an online audience response system that works effectively for many audiences, from very large communities to smaller groups. Users can quickly manage their poll and results to gather valuable insight that could help them improve what they offer to their online audience.Show more screenshots »
iVoted was created in June of 2010. Today, the team remains small, with around four individuals, including CEO Jorge Robaina, COO Gustavo Troconis and CTO Alejandro Sanchez. The creators wanted to build an audience response system that was easy to use, both for the user and those who respond to the polls the user posts.
There are many applications that allow users to build polls and surveys and collect responses in a way that is easy to read and manage. iVoted is another one of these, so in that sense it is not terribly unique. The application does offer a number of response options beyond a simple website submission. The user’s audience can add their responses through email, SMS, Twitter and more.
The IVoted website offers a professional appearance that encourages all manner of user, from small website owners to larger business managers. The clean design works well to encourage more users to sign up and try iVoted. Poll responses are presented using color diagrams that look a bit outdated, but they are simple to read and allow the user to gather the information they need quickly without weeding through results.
Visitors can register for an iVoted account by clicking on the white “Sign Up” link at the top, right hand side of the homepage (in the dark green header). After doing so, the user is advised that they must check their email inbox for a confirmation link which must be accessed to complete registration. A resend link button is also available in case the user has trouble finding the message.
